Rainforest Wildlife and Coastal Trails in Quepos
Quepos is a town on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast. It’s known as a gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park. The park’s mangroves, lagoons and beach-lined rainforests shelter howler, white-faced and squirrel monkeys. Nearby sandy stretches include Playa Espadilla and Playa Biesanz. Northwest of town, the Damas Island mangrove estuary is home to wildlife including caimans, snakes and iguanas.
Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio (Manuel Antonio National Park) is an expansive, coastal rainforest nature reserve sustaining rich wildlife and multiple marine species.
We spent 4 nights in Quepos. We arrived to Quepos from Panama. Our first day in Quepos, We visited Parque Nahomi. Later, We hiked to playa la Macha. After lunch, We went to playa Quepos (Quepos beach). It was a great day to discover places around Quepos.
In Our second day , We went to Manuel Antonio National park. We took the public transportation to arrive from Quepos. We booked a guided tour in advance. There was so much diverse wildlife in the park that you have a really high chance of seeing some amazing animals. We saw monkeys, sloths, different birds …
Another day, We went to do zipline (zip coaster) and Espadilla beach. We saw woodpeckers and toucans. It was an amazing experience!
